How to publish your site and receive booking requests

A new property starts as a draft that only you can see. Publishing puts it online at yourname.directbookingpage.com, and from then on booking requests arrive in your inbox. This guide covers both.

Step 1. Set your booking email

  1. On the property card, click the ⋯ menu and choose Booking email.
  2. Enter the address where you want booking requests, and save.

When a guest picks dates and sends a request, you get an email with their name, contact details, dates and the total. You reply to the guest directly and agree payment with them. On the free plan this is how every booking arrives. On Pro, guests can also pay by card, see How to take card payments with Stripe.

Step 2. Connect a calendar

Until a calendar is connected your site shows a demo calendar, which is fine while you build but not for guests. Add your OTA calendar links or your PMS first. See How to sync your calendar.

Step 3. Publish

  1. Click the ⋯ menu and choose Settings.
  2. Change the status to Published — visible to guests, and save.

Your site is live at once on its directbookingpage.com address, with HTTPS. To use your own address, see How to connect your own domain.

How many properties can be published?

  • Free: one published property. Drafts are unlimited.
  • Pro: $149 a year for each published property. Publishing another one adds it to your plan and charges the remaining part of the year.
  • Property Manager: ten included, then $4.90 a month for each extra one.

Switching a property back to Draft takes it offline immediately and frees its place.

Something not working?

  • "Pro plan required": shows next to Published when you already have one published property on the free plan. Set that one to draft, or upgrade in Billing.
  • No request email arrived: check the address under Booking email and your spam folder. Requests come from hello@directbookingpage.com.
